The Woluwé Physical Center was founded 25 years ago on the
plateau of Woluwé-Saint-Lambert, a stone's throw from the
U.C.L., the Saint-Luc universitary hospital and very near
the Woluwé Shopping Center. The sports club is situated in
an old, Art-Deco style church, named Notre-Dame de
l'Assomption de Kappeleveld, along the Avenue Emile
Vandervelde. The site is enclosed by greenery, well-aired,
well situated with good access: the ring and subway at 150
meters (the Emile Vandervelde station).
When entering the building on the ground floor, you have a
600 m² fitness hall, bright and filled with muscle-building
and cardio-fitness equipment. This floor also houses
locker-rooms with individual lockers, a relaxing corner, a
small bar and tanning benches.
The hall for group classes is on the
first floor. There are many enthusiasts that follow
stretching sessions, aerobics, gym tonic, step, dance class,
etc... up to 35 hours a week with multiple sessions on
different days and at various hours.
The Woluwé Physical Center also
offers its clients a varied team of specialists: masters and
graduates in physical education and kinesitherapists. Always
available and efficient, they accompany and guide everyone
adjusted to his/her personal prowess.
Complementary group activities such
as special abdominals sessions, terrain-bike rides and
jogging are not to be forgotten as well as carting evenings
and walking tours.
